The Kintyre Way runs the length of the beautiful Kintyre peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. The route starts in Tarbert and finishes at Dunaverty near Southend, a total distance of 140 km (87 miles). In Kintyre the sea is never far away, and as well as providing fine stretches of coastal walking, the Way offers outstanding views of the Argyll and Clyde islands including Arran, Jura, Islay and even Ailsa Craig. Rich wildlife and friendly folk make the walk an unforgettable experience. Walking ranges from forest tracks to upland paths with the entire route taking 4 to 7 days to complete.

Leaflets describing the walk are available from local tourist offices or direct from www.kinytyreway.com.
