The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival or MOK Fest as it is affectionately known is a celebration of traditional and contemporary Scottish and Irish music and dance. Based in Campbeltown on the West coast of Scotland the Festival has a great mix of free outdoor gigs, concerts, ceilidh's, Festival Clubs, music sessions, workshops, children's entertainment, cultural and heritage tours, in venues from large halls to intimate halls.

Now in its 18th year the Festival has become one of the main cultural and community events in Argyll and Bute. Past bands that have appeared at the event include, Deacon Blue, Capercaillie, Stranglers, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Idlewild, Eddi Reader, and Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham.

With Kintyre being the closest Scottish landfall to Ireland and the first area to be settled by the Scots, the Festival and the area have now adopted the strap line "Cradle of the Nation".
