Mount Stuart, Britain's most spectacular Victorian Gothic house is the architectural fantasty of the 3rd Marquess of Bute and his architect Sir Robert Rowand Anderson. It is situated on the Isle of Bute which, with its proximity to Glasgow, is the most accesible of Scotland's west coast islands. The house is open 7 days a week from 1st May - 30th September. Our Gardens and Grounds, Visitor Centre Restaurant, Visual Arts Exhibition and Garden are also open daily May - September. Private and corporate events for up to 200 guests can easily be accommodated in the stunning Marble Hall.
