Finlaggan Trust provides information for visitors and an educational resource for history students at its Information Centre near Finlaggan Loch on the island of Islay.

The Centre is located about 500 metres from Finlaggan Loch. An island in the loch, Eilean Mor, was the adminstration centre for the Lords of the Isles, ancestors of Clan Donald, who ruled Scotland's west coast and islands from the 13th to 15th centuries. A smaller man-made island or crannog, Eilean na Comhairle, translates as Council Island and was the place where senior lairds from all parts of the Lords' Sea Kingdom gathered to enact laws and sign charters.

Both islands were investigated by archaeologists from the National Museum of Scotland. A sturdy bridge gives access to Eilean na Comhairle and interpretation panels help visitors to visualise the activities that took place six centuries ago in what remains of once impressive buildings.
